The SAEP Scholarship is a renewable scholarship for high school students graduating from one of the SAEP partner high schools and planning to enroll or currently attending a SAEP partner college or university. SAEP Advisors at each high school are available to guide students through the application process and ensure they meet the eligibility criteria.

Eligibility Requirements & Process

Scholarships are contingent upon funding availability. The deadline to complete the SAEP Scholarship Application is June 15, 2024!

Senior at SAEP Partner High School

Complete the application by the deadline. Attend two SAEP workshops. Demonstrate a financial need. Graduate and meet the GPA requirements.

  • Apply by Deadline
    Complete the SAEP Scholarship application by the deadline.
  • Attend Workshops
    Attend two (2) College Success Activities and one (1) Activation Seminar by the application deadline.
  • Demonstrate Financial Need
    Submit proof of a Student Aid Index of 30000 or below by submitting your FAFSA Submission Summary or TASFA application.
  • Graduate
    Graduate from a SAEP partner high school
  • Meet Grade Requirements
    Achieve an overall 70 or above grade point average on final high school transcript.

SAEP Scholarship Eligibility

Eligibility for the SAEP Scholarship is processed in the summer following high school graduation. Scholarship applicants will receive an email from their SAEP Advisor in August informing them whether they met the scholarship eligibility requirements as listed above. Scholarship candidates are determined based on all requirements having been met.

SAEP Scholarship Candidate

Awarding requirements include:

  • Complete Enrollment Survey
  • Enroll in a SAEP partner college/university
  • Enroll in Fall or Spring semester following high school graduation (no gap year)
  • Be enrolled three-quarter time (9+ credit hours) for the duration of the semester.*

*For the High School Graduate Class of 2024, the enrollment requirement is three-quarter time (9+ credit hours).

For the High School Graduate Class of 2023, the enrollment requirement is part-time (6+ credit hours).

For High School Graduate Class of 2022 and prior, the enrollment requirement is fulltime (12+ credit hours).

SAEP Scholarship Recipient & Renewal

Steps to maintain your scholarship include:

  • Be enrolled full-time (12+ credit hours) at a partner institution for the duration of the semester.
    • High School Graduate Class of 2024: Be enrolled three-quarter time (9+ credit hours) at a partner institution for the duration of the semester and complete one (1) Scholar Success Activity per semester.
    • High School Graduate Class of 2023: Be enrolled part-time (6+ credit hours) at a partner institution for the duration of the semester.
    • High School Graduate Class of 2022: Be enrolled fulltime (12+ credit hours) at a partner institution for the duration of the semester.
  • Meet SAP (Satisfactory Academic Progress) requirements at your institution
  • Be enrolled in consecutive semesters (Fall/Spring, no gap semesters)
SAEP-Scholarships
The SAEP Scholarship will always process after the start of the semester for which a student is eligible. Funds should not be anticipated before classes start and will be disbursed no later than the end of the semester unless otherwise noted by your institution. You are responsible for any payments or balances required by your institution by the payment deadline.
