The Heart of Our Purpose

SAEP Scholar - Chloe Bruno

Jennifer's Journey: Returning Stronger →

After over a decade of starts and stops, Jennifer returned to college—this time with support from SAEP’s cafécollege. With personalized advising and a renewed sense of confidence, she’s now on track to earn her degree.

Her story reflects our mission: equipping students—no matter their stage in life—with the tools to succeed in higher education and beyond.

"Cafécollege was so helpful in getting me through the process and removing the barriers I had placed in my mind that were keeping me from going back to school." - Jennifer

← Chloe’s Story: From Uncertainty to Cybersecurity

Raised by her grandmother on San Antonio’s East Side, Chloe faced family separation, financial hardship, and uncertainty about her future. In high school she met an SAEP advisor and discovered the guidance, scholarship support, and community she needed to pursue college—and a career in cybersecurity.

Chloe’s journey reflects the mission behind your support: empowering students to overcome barriers and build brighter futures.

"If SAEP never existed, my journey would have had a lot more bumps... I would not be where I am today. I’m very grateful to the supporters and funders who contribute to student success—our stories matter." - Chloe
